The Clinton County Fair parade showcases agriculture, the reigning Clinton County Fair Queen Mia Essenpreis, queen contestants, Little Miss Participants and many local businesses with a fun theme every year! This year’s theme is BACK TO THE FUTURE.
The 2022 Clinton County Fair Parade will be held July 18, 2022 at 6:00 pm beginning at 8th and Fairfax Streets in Carlyle.
Parade entry fee is $10 – (Veterans, school groups and emergency personnel are exempt)
Parade entries will be judged according to the parade theme. Top 3 will receive cash prizes.
The “Kuhl” Award in memory of Gene Kuhl who passed away in 2020. Gene was a huge supporter of the Clinton County Fair Parade helping with the line-up for many years and most recently creating the Little Miss floats for the past 10 years. This will be judged on the “Kuhlness” of the entry. A monetary prize will be awarded to the winner along with recognition on a plaque in the Fair Office .

Parade Entry Rules
Starting time 6:00 pm
$10 Entry fee (Veterans, School groups and emergency vehicles exempt.
No alcohol permitted prior to or during the parade.
Line-up starts at 8th and Fairfax Streets
One rescue unit only from each each department.
Candy and other items can be passed out not thrown.
No semi-trucks or semi truck trailers or over-sized vehicles allowed.
No dual wheel tractors allowed.
Only one person allowed on a tractor at a time.
Only two entries per organization/group.
No stopping of parade without permission of parade chairman.
No selling of tickets or anything else during the parade by any individual or group.
Placement of entry in the parade may not be altered without permission of the parade chairperson.
You will not receive a return phone call. Line-up will be posted on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
All decisions by the parade chairperson are final.
